The Yemeni GNU/Linux Association, also known as the "Arabian Linuxer" was our starting point in gathering enthusiasts and professionals around GNU/Linux, organized in Sana'a, Yemen in 1999. The year 2001 marks as the establishment date of the Yemeni Free Software & Open Source Association. Apart from free software and open source, within the Association we work on promoting various GNU/Linux, Free BSD, Open BSD, NetBSD.
